Position description
Saudi Aramco is seeking a Financial Economic Modeler to join the Modeling and Valuation Division of Financial Advisory Department.
The Modeling and Valuation division is responsible of providing advisory and analytical support to Merger, Acquisition and Divestitures opportunities as well as Joint venture formation; activities involve economic and financial modeling, supporting financial and commercial negotiations, reviewing term sheets and purchase and sales agreements. Also, the division conducts and supports special projects as requested by the Company's management; these sensitive and timely projects are related to potential transactions with outside entities including publicly listed companies. Advisory services cover valuation, transaction structuring and quantifying impact on Saudi Aramco's financials.
The Financial Economic Modeler primary role is responsible for financial modeling and analysis of potential joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions primarily in the downstream oil and gas and petrochemical industries. This position handles complex, non-routine financial or banking projects, which have little precedent, develops and interprets data used in highly technical and confidential analysis, assists in the development of positions relative to new problem areas of situations and develops polices, programs and procedures. Lessons learned and best business practices developed will be formalized into policies, programs and procedures to expand knowledge sharing within the organization and facilitate the successful fruition of subsequent analyses.
Minimum requirements
As the successful candidate:
You will hold a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, or Business. An MBA or other advanced business degree is preferred. Completion of Finance/Accounting professional credential is also preferred.
You will have history of career progression with at least fifteen years of related financial modeling work experience, preferably in an investment banking environment or a major petrochemical or energy industry corporation.
You will have significant experience with Economic Evaluations, Cash Flow & Variance Analysis, structured finance, project finance and/or financial modeling.
You should be able to quickly establish credibility in the position and to effectively interact with all levels of management, including senior leadership.
You will have demonstrable leadership and management experience.
Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills is also necessary. In addition to strong command of English. Knowledge of Arabic a plus.
Strong ability to establish and maintain networks, both within and across company organizations is necessary.
Capability to work effectively within a matrix organization and with multi-disciplinary teams is also preferred.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Provide professional and technical expertise for the analysis and solution of complex problems in any Treasury financial modeling and analysis area.
Review current Treasury financial modeling and analysis procedures, identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
Keep abreast of and analyze international and regional economic data; identify trends that may affect the company.
Provide work direction to more junior professional Financial Analysts.
Assist in the formulation and implementation of Treasury policies and procedures to prevent or resolve problems and follow-up implemented changes to ensure the problem has been resolved.
Represent the Treasury organization when needed in special projects, ad hoc committees, or task forces established to facilitate and ensure the Company's realization of its business plan and strategic objectives.
