Aramco delivers first direct Arabian Crude cargo to Brunei

In June 2020, Brunei Darussalam took delivery of its first ever Arabian crude oil. The cargo of one million barrels of Arabian Medium crude oil was purchased by Hengyi Industries’ Pulau Muara Besar (PMB) refinery in Brunei.

This milestone reinforces Aramco’s commitment to provide the region’s refining and petrochemicals industry with a reliable crude oil supply. The smooth delivery of the cargo is the result of a close cooperation between the Brunei Energy Ministry, Aramco and Hengyi Industries.

Hengyi’s 175,000 barrels per day refinery yields refined oil products for domestic consumption as well as for exports to the region. Hengyi Industries is a joint venture between China's Zhejiang Hengyi Group and Damai Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary under the Brunei government's Strategic Development Capital Fund, with Hengyi owning 70% and Damai 30%.
